The mean growth and calcification rates of species tested in multiple experiments were examined using independent t-tests for each species by year; CO₂ treatment was treated as a fixed, independent factor. Each experimental replicate (n) consisted of one aquarium containing one algal individual. Statistically significant differences (p < 0.05) are emphasized in bold.
