External standard RNAs (a gamma-irradiated, purified Vero cell culture supernatant was used as a full-virus quantification standard) were tested at six different concentrations. Each concentration was analyzed in eight PCR runs. Ct represents the PCR cycle at which the probe-specific fluorescent signal can be detected against the background.
