Mathematical model for receptor-receptor and receptor-TRAIL interactions. Receptor-receptor and receptor-ligand interactions have been described by six reversible biochemical reactions. The resulting biochemical reaction network accounts for the formation of homo- and heteromeric receptor complexes as well as for a decoy mechanism via TRAILR4. We derived the corresponding ordinary differential equation model assuming mass action kinetics. Parameters for the model have been determined using literature and own experimental data.
