Proteomics analysis of preputial gland of Indian commensal rat: (a) Proteins were extracted from the preputial gland and 40 μg of protein was separated with the aid of 12% SDS-PAGE and the total band from the whole cell extract was subjected into gel filtration chromatography (GFC) lanes from 33 to 76 shows the fraction of protein lysates from GFC. The pure form of α2u eluted from 72 to 76 fractions. (b) MALDI-TOF/MS spectra showed lowed molecular mass protein resemblance to α2u. (c) The matched peptides are shown as underlined and sequence coverage 50% of α2u based on the database analysis.
