Effect of IL-17 deficiency on MAV-1-induced Th1, Th2, and Th17 cytokine production. Wild type (IL-17+/+) and IL-17−/− mice were infected i.n. with MAV-1 or mock infected with conditioned media. A–C) Lung leukocytes isolated from mice at the indicated time points were stimulated overnight with anti-CD3 antibody and ELISA was used to measure IL-17, IFN-γ, and IL-4 production. D) ELISA was used to quantify IFN-γ concentrations in BALF at the indicated time points. Combined data from n=3–5 (A–C) and n=8–21 (D) mice per group are presented as means ± S.E.M.
