Histological sections of the skin biopsy ((A) H&E staining; (B) GMS staining; (C) Calcofluor fluorescence). The H&E staining showed a few pigmented ramified hyphae within necro-inflammatory granuloma. The GMS impregnation highlighted scattered dark fungal structures on a green background. The affixing of the skin biopsy prepared with the brightener showed few blue-fluorescent filaments with several septa.
