Water intake (A), food intake (B), and the weight ratio of spleen and pancreas (C) in mice with STZ-induced diabetes receiving daily ip injections over 4 weeks with either vehicle or 5 mg/kg/day of t-AUCB. The values of water and food intake were based on the average of daily water and food intake after STZ treatment. The weight ratio of spleen or pancreas to body weight (B.W.) was determined after 4 weeks of STZ treatment. The body weight in control, STZ, and t-AUCB + STZ are 21 ± 0.5 g, 21.3 ± 0.5 g, and 20.8 ± 0.7 g, respectively. The values are expressed as mean ± SE (n = 6). *P < 0.05, ***P < 0.001 versus control; #P < 0.05, ###P < 0.001 versus STZ treatment.
