H₆-Chimera C3, H₆-SlAcs, and H₆-SeAcs were produced in S. enterica Δacs pat ΔcobB strain JE9152 harboring either a plasmid producing SlPatA^WT or an empty vector. Strains were grown in NCE minimal medium supplemented with acetate (10 mM). Acs proteins were incubated in the presence or absence of SeCobB deacetylase and its co-substrate NAD⁺. Acs activity was measured in an NADH-consumption assay. Values are reported as the mean ± S.D. of three activity measurements.
