In mouse embryonic stem cells, TRF1 was conditionally knocked out (KO) by treatment with 4-hydroxy-tamoxifen for 2 days. The cells were further incubated for 13 days and then treated with 0.25 μg/ml colcemid for 16 h. The metaphase spreads were analyzed by telomere FISH.
