EEC proliferation assessed using an MTT assay. EECs were incubated with different intervention factors for the indicated durations (48–72 h). The groups were as follows: Control, EECs incubated with serum-free DMEM/F12; AngII, EECs incubated with 10−6 mol/l AngII and serum-free DMEM/F12; Ang-(1–7), EECs incubated with 10−5 mol/l Ang-(1–7) and serum-free DMEM/F12; AngII+Ang-(1–7), EECs incubated with 10−6 mol/l AngII and 10−5 mol/l Ang-(1–7) and serum-free DMEM/F12.
