Either glomerular filtration rate (GFR) must be assumed to increase dramatically followed by a decrease (dotted or lines) or there is a rapid reduction in plasma creatinine production (black lines) (see 'Case C: Crdecrease' subheading). Crdecrease, group of patients with a plasma creatinine decrease of more than 10% at 24 hours after cardiac arrest.
