(A-D) Eight-week-old male C57BL/6 mice were orally treated with or without fenofibrate at the indicated dosage (n = 6 per group) for 10 days: (A) Representative gross morphology of the mouse livers. (B) Serum triglyceride (TG) levels and (C) liver TG contents were determined using a commercial kit. All samples were evaluated in duplicate, and the liver TG values are expressed in mmol of triglycerides/g of protein. (D) Representative images of oil red O staining of liver sections for the detection of neutral lipids.
