One hundred and fifty eggs were used from each strain and were divided in three dishes with 50 eggs. The hatched larvae were counted at 2-h intervals. The eggs were placed in water, and the number of larvae that emerged was counted. The experiment was carried out at 28°C. The number of eggs that hatched was not significantly different between mosquitoes with Wolbachia (Wol+/black line) and without Wolbachia (Wol/gray line).
