Effect of ginseng total saponins (GTS) on hyperalgesia. Rats were injected intraperitoneally with experimental medication after the development of hyperalgesia. The mechanical withdrawal threshold (MWT) was significantly increased after the injection of 100 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg of GTS when compared with the MWT at AI. The MWT was significantly increased bilaterally after intraperitoneal injection of 100 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg of GTS when compared with the vehicle controls. *P<.05 compared with AI. †P<.05 compared with vehicle control.
