The isolates that belonged to pulsotypes A to O had >80% similar PFGE profiles among the isolates of each pulsotype. The remaining ESBL-producing isolates referred to as NR (not related) were not clonally related, i.e., they exhibited <60% similar PFGE profiles and did not show patterns similar to those from pulsotypes A to O.
