Gene expression of (a) RANKL, (b) NOX2, and (c) NOX4, (d) osteocalcin and (e) collagen a type 1(COLA1) in femur shaft of EtOH-treated WT and p47phox KO mice (n=6/group) and their corresponding PF controls (n=3/group) as measured by real-time PCR, normalized to cyclophilinA mRNA. Fold expression is reported as mean ± SEM. Statistical significance was determined by Two-way ANOVA followed by Student Newman-Keuls post hoc analysis. Groups with different letter subscripts are significantly different from each other (P<0.05). For osteocalcin a vs. ab, p=0.154, for COLA1 a vs. ab, p=0.105.
