Images of growing pollen tubes were taken via a CCD-coupled microscope at 3h intervals, and then the length of at least 120 pollen tubes was measured with Metamorph software. The average growth rate was calculated every 3h. Means ±SE represent three independent experiments. Significant differences were determined by a one-way ANOVA function combined with post-hoc analysis in SPSS 20.0 software (*P<0.05; **P< 0.01).
