Quantitative analysis of Ki-67-labeled proliferative cells in the superficial and crypt compartments of colonic epithelium in dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis. A: Active colitis in both wild-type (WT, left) and sEH−/− mice (right); B: Colitis-induced dysplasia in both WT (left) and sEH−/− mice (right); C: Histogram showed a significant reduction of Ki-67-labeled proliferative cells (percentage of the Ki-67-labeled proliferative cells) within the superficial compartment in both of active colitis and dysplasia in sEH−/− mice compared to WT mice (p<0.01). D: Histogram showed that the number of dysplastic lesions in DSS-induced colitis was significantly reduced in sEH−/− mice compared to WT mice (p<0.01). The results are expressed as the mean±SD.
