mTORC1 is required for reconsolidation of cued fear memory. Reconsolidation of cued fear memory was tested in mice treated with either vehicle or inhibitors of mTORC1 and its effectors. A, Rapamycin-treated mice (n = 6 per treatment) exhibited a significant decrease in freezing behavior during PR-LTM (**p = 0.007). 4EGI-1-treated mice (B, n = 7 per treatment) and S6K1 knock-out (KO) mice (C; n = 6 per genotype) did not exhibit an impairment in the PR-LTM.
