(a) Flying ability of females in response to injection of aminergic compounds at various concentrations after CO2 knockdown (N = 15). Effects were grouped in 3 classes: in green - no effect; in orange- significant effect, but 50% of females recovered within 3 h; in red- significant effect, recovery lower than 50% within 3 h. The experiment was performed in a minimum of 3 independent repeats. Curves were analysed by non-linear regression (one phase association, constraint: plateau level lower than 0.7, extra sum of squares F- test, p<0.05 is significant).
