(A–B) Representative immunochemical images of primary GBM-derived cells show that CG500354 treatment decreased the number of nestin-positive neural progenitor cells and increased the number of GFAP- and Tuj1-positive neural subtypes. The effect of CG500354 on the neural differentiation of GBM was more effective with 3 μM than 1 μM CG500354. Nuclei (blue) were counterstained with DAPI. Scale bar = 0.5 mm. (C) Quantitative RT-PCR analysis shows that the relative expression level of nestin was significantly reduced by 3 μM CG500354. (D) Western blot analysis shows that the expression of the GFAP and Tuj1 proteins was up-regulated by CG500354 treatment. The full-length blots are included in the supplementary information (Suppl.
