A–G, the deacetylase activity of SIRT1 was significantly negatively correlated with markers of Foxo1-associated pro-apoptotic signalling including acetylation of Foxo1 (A), ratio of acetylated Foxo1-to-total Foxo1 (B), Bim (C), p53 (D) and Bax (E) and oxidative stress including 4HNE (F) and nitrotyrosine (G). H–J, the level of acetylated Foxo1 was positively correlated with the expression of its transcriptional target, Bim (H) and the contents of pro-apoptotic proteins including p53 (I) and Bax (J).
