(A) HG (30 mmol·L−1, 8 h)-induced reduction of glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in INS-1E cells was reversed by berberine (BBR; 5 μmol·L−1). Compound C (CC; 10 μmol·L−1), genipin (1 μmol·L−1) (A) and adenovirus ucp2 short hairpin RNA (B) inhibited the effect of BBR on insulin secretion.
