Gln3 homologies observed among yeast species for sequences required for a response to rapamycin. These sequences are also predicted to possess a propensity to form α-helices (A and C, Gln3(583–591) and Gln3(553–565); bracketed in Fig. 1) or the Gln3-Tor1 interaction (Gln3(656–666)) (B, Gln3(656–666)).
