Table 2. Means and ranges of oceanographic variables on the HTS recorded by the full CTD cast. Ranges of salinity, temperature, particle attenuation coefficient (Cp), oxygen and aragonite saturation states were two to three times higher at stations 1200–1500 m (the oceanographically “dynamic” layer) throughout most of the WTOW layer than at (oceanographically stable) > 1500 m water depth.
