In the 6-week groups, treated thymi showed more keratin 8⁺ and keratin 5⁺ thymic epithelial cells than the untreated thymi, but no organization in the cortical or medullary regions was observed. In the 8-week groups, treated thymi revealed a tendency towards an organized corticomedullary architecture. In the 10-week groups, treated thymi display an organized corticomedullary architecture and a corticomedullary junction similar to normal thymi.
