Major processing steps used to analyze all cell adhesion images. Using Axiovision software, four major steps were used to analyze images including the adjustment of brightness, contrast, and gamma; segmentation to select cells; processing to separate individual cells; and measurement of cell number and average cell area. Identical parameters were set for all images analyzed.
