Wildtype (A and B), Ramp1−/− (C and D)­, and Calcrl+/− (E and F) mice were sensitized with ovalbumin prior to a five day challenge period during which mice inhaled aerosolized ovalbumin as described in the methods. After measuring airway resistance in response to a methacholine challenge, lungs were harvested for histological analysis. Low power images obtained at 4x magnification are shown in panels A, C, and E, while high power images taken at 40x magnification are shown in panels B, D, and F.
