Schematic of nanoclusters assembled from cysteine/citrate-capped Au nanospheres and stabilized with PLA(1K)-b-PEG(10K)-b-PLA(1K). The nanoclusters are formed upon mixing Au dispersions with polymer solutions, in some cases containing NaCl, and then full evaporation of the solvent. The dashed lines for the adsorbed polymers on the clusters represent PEG loops and the solid lines the PLA end groups.
