Distribution of MAT in the medullary canal. Adipocytes in the BM of the mouse are unevenly distributed throughout the medullary canal. They are most densely clustered in the epiphyses. In the metaphysis and diaphysis, adipocytes are most numerous near the central vascular canal and adjacent to the cortical bone.
