After a basal period, the hearts were perfused for 10 minutes with Krebs–Ringer solution containing magnetic nanoparticles followed by a 20-minute washout period. −dP/dt, maximal rate of left ventricular pressure decline. *P<0.01 versus basal level, ^#P<0.01 between time points. Values are shown as the mean ± standard error. A two-way analysis of variance followed by a post-hoc Fisher’s least significant difference test was used.
