Propofol administered to pregnant rats induced a significant loss of hippocampal neurons in the offspring rats. Quantification of the neuronal density counts in the hippocampal CA1 (A) and CA3 (B) regions of pups on postnatal day 10 (P10), and P28. Neuronal density counts were obtained from Nissl stained sections.
