There is a long-lasting increase in diaphragm amplitude above baseline (dotted white line) corresponding to Dia long-term facilitation (LTF) (arrows on right) following AIH (A and B). Caudal segments T6, T7, T8, T9 EIC and RA muscles (C and D) do not show a change in amplitude after AIH (i.e., they do no exhibit LTF after AIH). The external oblique muscle shows a decrease in EMG amplitude during but not after AIH (C).
