Please note that the life cycle stages and the GO terms are plotted on different scales. The lower and left axes represent the life cycle stages and the upper and right axes represent for the GO terms. In gene space we observe a clear projection of the GO terms in the direction of gametocytes and sporozoites. In protein space, GO terms are projected clearly in direction of sporozoites and the intraerythrocytic cycle.
