Four-week old mature leaves were inoculated with S. sclerotiorum by attaching 2 mm diameter agar discs of S. sclerotiorum mycelium onto the surface of detached leaves. Lesion size was measured 16 hours after inoculation. The data represent the average lesion size of 18 leaves from 6 plants. The experiments were performed in triplicate, each with similar results.
