NT and transgenic lines of rice (Line-1, Line-2 and Line-3) were grown for 10 days on Hewitt media and then transferred in fresh Hewitt media containing either 100 μM Na₂AsO₄. After 10 days of treatment the extract was used for accumulation of PCs. Levels of PC2 (A), PC3 (B), PC4 (C) and total PC (D) were measured in root and shoot extracts after derivatization with mBBr, separation in HPLC and fluorometric detection. Data are expressed as means ± SD of at least 3 independent experiments. Values marked with similar letters are not significantly (Duncan's test:p < 0.05) different.
