In vivo TUNEL assay of E3330 or vehicle-treated retina. Normal eyes of young adult wild-type C57BL/6 mice received intravitreal injection of various doses of E3330. Statistical analysis of the TUNEL stain revealed that the equivalent intravitreal concentration of 10, 20, or 30 μM E3330 did not elicit apoptosis in mouse retina, whereas 100 μM E3330 induced significant retinal neuron cell apoptosis.
