The isolectin-stained CNV lesion was quantified by three grades: large (>10000 μm²), medium (5000–10000 μm²), and small (<5000 μm²). The size range was chosen arbitrarily; 56 lesions of 14 choroidal samples were graded for each treatment group. The percent incidence of each category revealed that large-sized CNV proportion was significantly lower in the E3330-treated group than that in the BSS-treated group.
