Resistance to taking medications, because it interfered with their newfound independence
Difficulty remembering to take medications, because they were now expected to manage their regimen without guidance from a parent/guardian
Adverse side effects interfered with their schedule and/or sleep pattern
Reduced compliance with appointments and prescription renewal requests, because they were away at school
