Melatonin, NAS, 6-OHM, AFMK, and 5-MT treated keratinocytes exhibit enhanced UVR-induced DNA repair. HaCaT cells were treated with melatonin or its metabolites for 30 min before UVB exposure (50 mJ/cm2) and for 3 or 6 h after. DNA was measured by immunoslot blot analysis following UVB exposure. The relative DNA repair efficiency was compared to non-treated cells (EtOH).
