Release of interleukin-1β in hippocampal slices subjected to oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD).

At 75 minutes after OGD, interleukin-1β concentration significantly increased, and P2X7 receptor antagonist A438079 could completely inhibit the release of OGD-induced interleukin-1β. ^aP < 0.01, vs. control group; ^bP < 0.01, vs. OGD group. Data are expressed as mean ± SD. Experiments were repeated six times. One-way analysis of variance and least significant difference t-test were used for statistical analysis.
