Morphology of neurotrophin-3 gene modified Schwann cells transplanted into the injured sciatic nerve.

Compared with Schwann cells group and neurotrophin-3 group, the regenerating nerves in the neurotrophin-3 + Schwann cells group were more dense and orderly arranged, the myelin sheath was thicker, nutrient vessels were more clearly, but the fiber was rarely seen around the scar. Arrows represent the nutrient vessels, and triangles represent the myelin sheath.
