Domain organization and structural comparison between GtfA and GT-B enzymes with an add-on domain. a, domain organization of GT-B enzymes with an add-on domain. The proteins are S. pneumoniae GtfA, hOGT, XcOGT, the N-linked glucosyltransferase (ApHWM1C), the mammalian α-1,6-fucosyltransferase (FUT8), and the α-2,6-sialyltransferase (α-2,6-ST). Structural comparisons of GtfA with hOGT (b) and XcOGT (c) are shown. The catalytic and add-on domains of GtfA are colored cyan and yellow, respectively. The catalytic domains of hOGT and XcOGT are colored gray, whereas the add-on domains are colored pink and light blue, respectively. The intervening domain of hOGT is colored green.
