Group I animals received vehicle (1% Tween 80 in water), Group II (Standard) received diclofenac sodium 10 mg/kg body weight, Group III and IV were treated with 300 and 500 mg/kg body weight (p.o.) of the methanolic extract of Lawsonia inermis barks, respectively.
