Insulin stimulation leads to up-regulation of PTP1B in adipocytes pretreated with lopinavir. Mature 3T3-L1 adipocytes were pretreated with darunavir (30 μM), lopinavir (30 μM) or a control vehicle, and then were stimulated with or without 100 nM of insulin for 30 min. The cell lysates were resolved using SDS-PAGE and visualized by immunoblotting with anti-PTP1B antibody (upper panel) or anti-β-actin antibody as an internal control (lower panel).
