MPTP-induced SN neuron loss in WT and CP KO mice is ameliorated with CP or DFP. 5-month-old WT and CP KO mice were administered MPTP (50 mg/kg, I.P.) and euthanized 21 days after. A sub-set of WT and CP KO mice were treated with dosing regimens of CP or DFP during the experimental period. (a) RHS SN was microdissected and iron was measured by ICP-MS.
