Effects of prolonged continuous NACA treatment on hindlimb functional recovery (gait analysis) following contusion SCI. Comparison of the terminal gait analysis using the Coordinated Pattern Index (CPI), Plantar Stepping Index (PSI), Regularity Index (RI) and % Dorsal Steps. Compared to Vehicle, both NACA treatments resulted in significantly improved CPI. However, only 150mg/kg NACA showed significant increases in PSI and RI along with a decrease in % Dorsal Steps compared to Vehicle. Bars are group mean ± SEM, n=5–7/group. *p<0.05 compared to Vehicle-treated injured group.
