Performance in an 3-interval oddity task follows a Gaussian when error rate is plotted against the test's radial distance (r) along a given orientation θ_i and its complement θ_i+π. Gaussian functions were fit to the data using a maximum likelihood procedure. Any radial test distance containing two or fewer trials was excluded from the fit (examples shown in open red symbols).
