Time courses of fluorescence recovery for PBsome fluorescence in different red algae species, P. cruentum, R. violacea, and C. caldarium, grown at two temperatures, suboptimal 18°C (C. caldarium 18°C) and optimal 38°C (C. caldarium 38°C). Fluorescence values are relative to fluorescence prior to bleaching and were normalized to the changes in fluorescence in the nonbleached area. The effect of internal recovery was corrected by subtraction of FRAP curves measured with 1% glutaraldehyde (Fig. 2). Data represents averages and sd for n = 12.
