Drug sensitivity of cancer stem cells (SP) and non-cancer stem cells (NSP) on different days of treatment. (A) Gemcitabine (2 μM) treatment was used for 20 days in both SW1990-SP and NSP cells. SP cells grew well with the characteristic stem cell phenotype upon gemcitabine treatment compared with NSP cells. (B) Western blot analysis showed that the expression of PD2 and ALDH1 is maintained in gemcitabine-treated SP cells. β-actin was used as a loading control. Fold change of band intensity is mentioned in the western blot results.
